Officially Hooded

Today was graduation and I was officailly hooded, twice.  I have to say I was impressed with the UVU Commencement.   There was a touching speech given by the Assistant Secretary of Indian Affairs for the US Dept of Interior, Larry Echo Hawk.  It was a long day for the the kids though.  The Convocation for the School of Education was very nice, my friend Wendy gave a witty, humerous, and honest speech about the graduate program.

Gardening

We did some serious gardening today.  I thought it would only take a couple of hours to plant 41 plants.  I was very wrong... six hours later we are done....

Last but not least, here is our beautiful view.... there are literally millions of birds who live in those reeds! It is really fun to go out and listen to them in the morning.

Soccer

Soccer began yesterday and it was hot!  Both kids were tired.  Joey got picked to start as goalie, and as you can see by his picture, it was really boring!

Caps for the Cure

Friday was "Caps for the Cure" day at school so all the kids
donated money to wear their hats to school that day. Joey and Angel wanted to pose with their hats on.... so here they are!

We thought this bottom one just needed a pitchfork!
